Another day down....

It has been a slow day, and that's not a bad thing. She is doing well, and I did find out that they do not feel she will need Prilosec after release. They think she only had a messed up tummy from being sick for so long and that once she leaves it will not be an issue. Her labs are coming back negative for any bacterial growth. :)

I am feeling so bad for her though. She is stir-crazy or has Spring Fever....she is TIRED of being in that bed, tired of wires and cords, and things taped to her face and arm. So am I. I have decided that since she got her feet tangled up again tonight while trying to get comfy in a bed that is not hers, that tomorrow she is getting out of that bed! I am going to unplug the machines, drape the cords and let that baby girl take a walk around the unit. And you know what? I am thinking someone else should have thought of this before me!!! The only reason she is PICU is because this is head related, she is more well than any other kid here right now!!!

Speaking of more well.....that kiddo on the news that got hit by the car while on the bike (Warner/Copper area) is just a door or two down from us. Very sad. Put a helmet on your kid!
